Imanda Chele

Associate

Bio

Imanda Chele brings an unusually wide field of vision to his work. An Associate at Simiyu & Partners Advocates LLP, he is at once a litigator, a manager of client relationships, and a driving force behind the firm’s growth, as at home drafting a complex pleading as he is preparing the proposal that wins the firm its next institutional client.

His litigation practice centres on the Employment and Labour Relations Court and the Environment and Land Court, where he leads strategy and independently drafts pleadings, submissions, and opinions. He manages key client relationships end to end, reviewing cases, advising on dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and risk, and instructing the auctioneers, investigators, and process servers who carry court orders through to execution. He trained at the firm as a pupil under Managing Partner Ben Simiyu before joining the associate ranks.

Alongside his law degree and the Advocates Training Programme, Imanda is currently pursuing a degree in Economics, an interest in how law, policy, and markets meet that first took him to the Yale Young Global Scholars programme in politics, law, and economics, and to early work designing regulatory compliance frameworks for a technology company operating across more than thirty countries. Away from the firm he plays badminton, takes photographs, and describes himself simply as someone who likes helping clients and never stops learning.
