Tracy approaches the law much as she approaches the pool, with discipline, consistency, and a readiness to do hard things. A Partner at Simiyu & Partners Advocates LLP and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and Commissioner for Oaths, her practice is built on employment, commercial, and dispute resolution work.

Employment law is where her interest runs deepest, shaped by the changing nature of workplace disputes and the questions employers and employees increasingly bring before the courts. She is equally drawn to commercial work, from advising financial institutions to drafting the agreements behind a fast-moving commercial sector. Across the subordinate, High Court, and appellate jurisdictions, Tracy has defended state corporations, manufacturers, financial institutions, insurers, and universities, frequently securing dismissals with costs.

She is increasingly focused on alternative dispute resolution and has begun her arbitration journey with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Tracy values the way mediation and arbitration allow parties to resolve matters in a less contentious setting than the courtroom. That instinct to do the hard thing, and to keep doing it, is the same one that carried her through years of competitive swimming. As she puts it: once you are disciplined and consistent with your work, you are able to produce the best results.

Beyond the pool, Tracy is a committed fitness enthusiast and, by her own description, an extrovert and an optimist energised by people. Multilingual in English, Swahili, and French, she connects easily with clients from every background. Away from the law she is an avid reader drawn to motivational writing and fiction rooted in real life, from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie to Colleen Hoover, and an enthusiastic cook who jokes that, had she not become a lawyer, she would have been a private chef.
